Highlights for June 2017: Wine and spirits are continuing to steal share from beer. Compared to June 2016, wine’s share is up 5%, liquor’s share is up 5%, and beer’s share is down 14%.
Tequila (up 6% in liquor share vs. last June) and brandy (up 27%) saw strong growth at the expense of gin, which normally perform well in the summer. Rosé has experienced tremendous growth (up 38% in wine share vs. last June) as specialty beer grows as well (up 5%).
